Orrville's holiday homecoming tradition continues with Home For The Holidays, Friday, November 23, 5pm- 8pm in downtown Orrville. Brought to you by corporate event sponsor, The Commercial and Savings Bank and coordinated by the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce, Home For The Holidays promises a festive, family friendly experience from Sterling Ave to W Market to N Main.
Anchored by four special activities, plan to park and walk to enjoy activities throughout the downtown area.
Activity number one will feature an Iceless Skating Rink at Serpentini Chevrolet of Orrville, 1107 N Main. Hot chocolate and treats will be available on-site along with Santa's Reindeer. This free activity will be available 5-9pm.
The second activity will be the Happy Holiday Magic Show at Orrville Public Library, 230 N Main. This event is sponsored by McElroy Packaging. Arrive early for best seating. Shows are 30 minutes longg and will start promptly at 5pm and 7pm.
Redwood Apartment Homes is excited to sponsor Santa's arrival at the third activity location, Smith Orr Homestead, 132 W Market, at 5:45pm. The Orrville Historical Society requests that guests line the driveway between W Market and the Homestead and join in a Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long led by The Wayne County Choral Union in anticipation of Santa's arrival. Lighting and treats provided by The Will-Burt Company.
Mrs Claus will be in town too! Children can discover their Elf name by visiting her in a cozy corner at Brown's Furniture Sleep Shop.
The fourth activity will be held at Christ United Church of Christ, 301 N Main. The Wayne County Choral Union will perform a 45 minute choral concert and sing-a-long starting at 6:45pm. Come in to warm up and rest a bit while enjoying sounds of the season.
More than 30 merchants and community organizations are planning to participate in Home For The Holidays. Many hands-on activities, holiday shopping and seasonal treats will be available. More details can be found on the Orrville Home For The Holidays event page on Facebook.
